Affecting Variables of Hospital Labor Union Activities Toward Management


Abstract
An empilical study was performed to test the variables affecting hospital union¢¥s activities towards management in the collective bargaining process.
Data were collected by means of questionnaires from employees of two antipodal hospital unions. One is known less dissatisfaction with management in the work place, another is not. Questionnaires measured union members¢¥ perception toward the necessity of organizing collectively labor movement and the management attitude for the union¢¥s labor movement.
Results indicated that subjects from hospital A tend to be uncompromising attitudes with the union militancy while employees in the hospital B show a trend to try to avoid head - on conflict and to work together to resolve the problems as they occur.
